Context
Inotec Global developed Vertical, a flooring installation system using a vertical fold-down process for significantly faster installation.
As a two-person startup, the company needed to protect its technology, build a commercial narrative, and present the opportunity to investors and industry partners.
What we did
- Conducted an IP review identifying the key patentable features of the Vertical system
- Prepared patent drawings and supporting materials to strengthen protection
- With our sister firm Vertex, ran concept workshops, developed 3D models, brand identity, marketing materials, the company website and an investor information memorandum
Impact
Inotec grew from a two-person team to an international operation across three countries, and the protected technology enabled a strategic divestment: the fold-down locking system patents, registered across the United States, Canada and China, were acquired by Valinge Innovation, a global leader in flooring technology.
