About Rob
With experience spanning IP valuation, venture capital, and technology transfer, Rob brings a multidisciplinary lens to evaluating how IP creates economic value. He has over 15 years’ experience advising on IP value in M&A, tax, capital raising, financial reporting and licensing contexts – including the determination of royalty rates and commercial structures for technology transfer, and JV agreements. His work spans deep-tech, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and miningtech, with clients including leading universities, national research agencies, venture capital and private equity funds, and ASX-listed and multinational companies.
Before joining IIP, Rob was a Director at a global professional services firm, where he led commercial IP valuation and strategy projects and co-developed a proprietary IP assessment tool. He is recognised for integrating technical, legal, financial and market analysis to build sound IP value narratives – particularly where emerging or complex IP is involved.
Rob is accustomed to working alongside R&D, technical, finance and executive teams.
